Measuring Tips!

1) Chest is the broadest part of the pet's body (shown as Chest on the illustration above).

For Chest Measurement, measure the Chest at its widest point, which is typically right behind the front legs. If the dog has a large girth, going up a size in the top line measurement is always a smart choice, since some additional fabric will be needed for the pet to be comfy.

2) Length of the backbone (shown as Back Length on the illustration above)

Measuring should be done along the pet's backbone from the base of the head to the base of the tail. This is from the base of where the collar rests right up to where the tail starts from the body. The measurements of our Apparel indicates this top line measurement. However, it is important that the pet's girth be taken into account as well as the top line measurement.

3) Circumference of the Neck (shown as Neck on the illustration above)

The Neck size determine whether the pet will be comfy wearing its new Apparels. If the Neck is too tight, your pet may be gasping for breath!

Different sizing applies to different types of garments, depending on the nature of the fabric.

Most importantly, measure the correct chest size, so if the chest size is right, then the rest of body should be fine.

But just like us humans, even pets comes in all shapes and sizes, it is best to give some measuring allowance if your pet is slightly pudgy or puny than the standard size for its breed.

Have fun!
